Ages 8–13 Beginner Jam – No Experience Needed! This fun, beginner-friendly group is open to any instrument – drums, guitar, bass, piano, and voice. Our instructor will guide the kids through easy-to-understand songs and rhythms, helping them play together as a group. It’s the perfect way for young beginners with no prior experience to start making music, build confidence, and enjoy their first jam session.

Ages 5–7 | No Experience Required The first step to becoming a real rocker starts here! Our beginner jam sessions are built for the youngest aspiring musicians, featuring easy song arrangements that are big on fun and short on frustration. We don't just teach music — we teach rock attitude. Kids will develop stage presence, confidence, and the kind of energy that turns a shy five-year-old into a born performer. Best of all? It's a real experience — away from the tablets and screens!

Songwriting Program – Ages 12 and Up Our songwriting program for teens gives students the tools to create original music from start to finish. Students learn the fundamentals of songwriting, music theory, and song arrangement while developing their own creative voice. Each week includes a private lesson on the instrument of their choice, plus a group session focused on collaborative songwriting, lyric writing, and arranging songs together!

Play Live in Real Concerts Our performance program gives students the exciting opportunity to take the stage in real concerts. Designed for kids, teens, and adults, this program brings musicians together once a week for a group rehearsal where they prepare songs as a band. Students must also be enrolled in private lessons to ensure they are building the skills needed for their part. At the end of each session, the group performs live on stage in a full concert experience!

Universal Rock School has a strong history of working with organizations like the YMCA, R’Club, and other afterschool programs.
